Adam Russell’s new single, “Shadow Tongue”, starts off with eerie Haunted Mansion style keys, and then about a minute in, it breaks into a frenzied uptempo singalong chorus that is hugely unexpected. Vocals sound very Kele Okereke on this, which makes me very happy. Just such a diverse group of sounds on this, that ultimately pays off in a haunting send off. This is just absolutely smashing.
We already raved at how good his debut album, Zing Dreams, was, but this is easily the best song we have heard from the Kent artist to date.
